The Gala was held on 13 September 2014 at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and Mrs. Andri Anastasiades. Funds raised during the Gala – together with proceeds from ticket sales – will benefit children with special needs, through the leading charity ‘Radiomarathon’. The evening will combine fine dining with a superb concert programme, featuring star performers from Russia and Cyprus. In the exquisite surroundings of the Presidential Palace, guests will be treated to performances by renowned violinist Dmitri Kogan, from the legendary Russian musical dynasty and one of the most prominent Russian classical musicians of our time; distinguished Russian singer Tamara Gverdtsiteli, known as the ‘Russian Piaf’; Bis-Quit, one of the most charismatic virtuoso instrumental groups that have released a series of successful CDs with their finest musical arrangements; and Greek tenor Marios Frangoulis, an operatic sensation with a global career in both musical theatre and opera. The gala will be attended by leading politicians, as well as cultural and business personalities from broadcast internationally.
