Description
In collaboration with Teatro Dell’Opera and The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the Italia-Russia Gala 2011 took place on 31st October 2011 at the world famous Teatro Dell’Opera Di Roma. The Gala has received the official patronage of both Italian leaders; President Giorgio Napolitano and Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, and the patronage of the Russian Government.
It will feature leading Russian and Italian ballet stars, such as Alessio Carbone, Petra Conti, Gabriele Corrado, Dmitri Gudanov, Ekaterina Krysanova, Vladislav Lantratov, Vyacheslav Lopatin, Ulyana Lopatkina, Svetlana Lunkina, Alessandro Macario, Evgenia Obraztsova, Giuseppe Picone, Marat Shemiunov, Anastasia Stashkevich, Gaia Straccamore, Viktoria Tereshkina, Svetlana Zakharova and Igor Zelensky, symbolising the spiritual richness of both countries and performing spectacular pieces of classical and modern choreography.
Staged by a team of renowned directors and stage designers, under the artistic direction of Vladimir Vasiliev, the event promises to be one of the most memorable highlights of the ‘Year of Russian Language and Culture in Italy’. The performance will be followed by a sit down dinner in the exclusive settings of the Teatro Dell’Opera. The gala will be attended by members of both governments, as well as leading business and celebrity figures, offering guests a unique social and networking experience.
